HISTORY |

Our
Lady of Fatima is located on the Western Slope in the town of Olathe, which is
ten miles north of Montrose. Theirs is primarily an agrarian community, with
some service, retail and manufacturing. There are many Spanish-speaking people
in the community.
On
October 13, 1999, Our Lady of Fatima celebrated its 50th Anniversary
with mass. The church was built in 1949 to serve the seventy-eight Catholic
families in the area. The entire church was built for $15,000, and was then
renovated in 1966, just in time for its Christmas celebration. |
